Jack Dorsey, one of the men behind Twitter, is due to stay on as full time chief executive of the social media network whilst retaining his position at the head of the payments company Square.
Writing appropriately enough on Twitter, Dorsey laid out the company’s position after months of speculation following the departure of Dick Costolo as user growth at the social network slowed.
I’ve been CEO of both companies for over 3 months now. I have the smartest, strongest, and most determined leaders in the world on my teams.

Whilst Dorsey had taken over from Costolo as an interim chief executive at Twitter the company was understood to be seeking a full time replacement for him owing to concerns as to whether he could manage Square at the same time.
Either these concerns have diffused or the search for a suitable candidate has proved fruitless.
At any rate Dorsey will still have to face the problem of finding a decent method of earning money through the widely used social network, which has fallen behind Facebook’s successful business model built around advertising.
