Watch Owen Jones quiz Peter Hitchens on religion, railways and revolutions

The Guardian’s Owen Jones has been doing an excellent series of videos in which he meets political figures, often not on his side, to discuss whichever political issues matter to them.

Perhaps most surprising was his interview with the Mail on Sunday’s Peter Hitchens, a social conservative who would appear to stand in opposition to most of what Jones believes (the truth is more complicated).

Now Jones and his production team have released an even longer clip in which the pair discuss Hitchens’ family (including his late brother Christopher), religion, public ownership of the railways, arguing, immigration, Enoch Powell, the First World War, and public debt, among other things.
