This time in the Week in Geek, huge Batman v Superman spoilers, the trailer for the new Ghostbusters, Pokemon Go and more!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Reviews (kinda…)

We’re another week closer to the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and a metric fuck-tonne of new things have been revealed thanks to a huge, spoilerific week of features by Entertainment Weekly.

Some of the deets include Lex Luthor orchestrating a mass murder in the film (at least it’s not ANOTHER real estate scheme), that Green Lantern won’t show up until – at the earliest – Justice League part 2, and that Jenna Malone’s character won’t be in the theatrical release (but might show up on the Blu-ray edition).

Yet by far the most intriguing thing about Entertainment Weekly’s coverage is that the feature writer, Anthony Breznican, shared a non-review via Twitter.

So, this first review suggests that Batman v Superman is good (suck it, DC haters!) and that it redeems the maligned Man of Steel. However, if you want your superheroes light and friendly, it won’t be for you. Regardless, the world will find out on March 25th whether Zack Snyder will be keeping his job.

The New Ghostbusters Trailer

This week the new Ghostbusters trailer released and the reaction has been… well, terrible. It’s been terrible.

Granted, the trailer seems derivative and people rightfully hate the shitty dubstep remix of the signature theme tune, but Melissa McCarthy and director Paul Feig have a proven track record – not least with last year’s brilliant Spy.

With a well over 50 percent hate rating on YouTube though, the film’s reputation is already haunted, risking cinema seats filled by nothing but the odd poltergeist and dropped popcorn. It’s not like McCarthy and Feig to deliver a dud, but this movie might be dead on arrival…

Pokémon GO a No-Show

Unfortunately for Pokémon fans Pokémon GO has pulled out of a presentation scheduled for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) this month.

A press release issued via Gameinformer explained:

“We have decided to forego our GDC talk on Pokémon GO in order to focus on getting the product ready for beta test and launch,” says Niantic CEO John Hanke.

“As much as we hate to disappoint those in the industry attending GDC, we feel our time and energy right now are best spent on making sure every aspect of the product is where we want it to be.”

Pokémon GO is an augmented reality game for mobile devices due later this year. No date has been confirmed yet, with this news suggesting the developers are behind schedule.

House of Cards Season 4!

In case you weren’t aware, House of Cards Season 4 has arrived on Netflix.

What are you waiting for? Go binge watch. Beware though: they say sitting is the new smoking.
