Podcast Ep. 27: Angela Merkel, Donald Trump and Diversity in Publishing

Angela Merkel, March 2014 by DonkeyHotey

Leena Norms from JustKissMyFrog on the Internet joins Jazza and Jimmy for a ruckus of vaguely informed debate about politics, culture and news.

This week they talk about Time magazine’s choice to crown Germany’s Angela Merkel as the Person of the Year and whether it is justified. Donald Trump gets his own segment again (did you know his surname means fart in British English?) and the gang discuss his ratings and his comments about banning Muslims from the United States.

Finally, in the wake of a list of the best British novels being published by BBC Culture, Leena and the boys talk about gender and race in publishing. Jazza and Jimmy butt heads again. It’s rather embarrassing for everyone involved.
