The shooting in an Orlando LGBT club, media coverage of the death of Jo Cox MP and the final stages of the referendum over Britain’s membership of the EU are the three topics for this week’s podcast.
To begin we look at the attack on Pulse in Orlando, Florida by Omar Mateen, a self-declared Islamist terrorist and homophobe, despite his habit of using gay pickup apps and frequenting the very club he attacked.
Next we look at reactions to the death of Jo Cox MP who was killed in her constituency, asking whether some parts of the media politicised her death.
Lastly we have our final discussion on the EU referendum, which could see Britain become the first member of the bloc to quit – if recent polls can be believed.
