In our budget special we discuss chancellor George Osborne’s plans for the next year, Iain Duncan Smith’s ragequit from the cabinet, and – er – Hulk Hogan’s sex tape case against Gawker.
For a full half-hour segment we go over the detail of the budget, discussing sugar taxes, dead cats, property conspiracies and much else besides.
Then, like everyone else, we look into the reason for pensions secretary IDS choosing to resign. He claims he was angry about the more than £4bn cuts to disability benefits (since shelved, at least for now), but was it really all about the EU?
In seamless segway we round off with Hulk Hogan – real name Terry Bollea – who has successfully sued gossip site Gawker for $115m in compensatory damages, pending appeal. What it means for free speech and privacy is less clear.
