‘Hot Young Corbynites’ unleash dance anthem on Labour leadership contest finale

As the hours tick down to close of voting at noon on Thursday an unlikely victory anthem for Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour leadership campaign has surfaced on the Internet.

Described as “the campaign song nobody asked for”, Hot Young Corbynites is a hard-hitting political dance chune that asks that vital question: “Who’s going to save us from these greedy Tories?”

What more preamble do you need?

ASA approves Paddy Power telling Fifa chief Sepp Blatter to Fuck Off

Sepp Blatter at Fifa Congress Sydney in May 2008 by AsianFC

An advert that told Fifa kingpin Sepp Blatter to “just fuck off already” has been cleared of being offensive after some small-minded twerp complained that the ad could be “likely to cause serious or widespread offence.”

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), which acts as a moral guardian for sensitive Britons, decided that Guardianistas could probably cope with seeing the expletive emblazoned across its sports pages in relation to Don Blatter, whose entirely legitimate sporting organisation recently suffered an entirely unjust corruption scandal. (Is this right? – Ed)

Central to the ruling was the Graun sports writers’ previously prolific use of potty-mouthed prose, as well as the fact that most of its readers are adults, and thus are capable of reading swearwords without instantly turning into barbarians and sailing off to Norway for a spot of rape and pillage.

“Because we did not consider the ad would be offensive to those who were likely to see it, we concluded that it was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence,” explained the censor, seemingly unaware how absurd it is that a piece of media can be banned merely for being offensive in Britain in 2015.

Readers of the Right Dishonourable who are offended by swears are dribbling halfwits who are advised to leave this page and never come back, whilst those with working brains can see the unoffending image below.

Tory staffer flees Corbyn rally in Crick chase

Tory Mike Watkinson at Corbyn rally Nuneaton, September 2015 by Channel 4

Though the Blairites repeatedly assert that the Tories are unmoved by the prospect of Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the Labour party, the blues still appear to be sending undercover staffers to rallies of the hard left candidate.

That at least is the obvious conclusion from a video posted by Channel 4 in which Tory West Midlands press officer Mike Watkinson walked hurriedly away from a rally in Nuneaton after being confronted by Michael Crick, political correspondent at the broadcaster.

When contacted for comment by Crick the Conservatives confirmed their press officer was at the “public event”, but offered no explanation as to why he felt obliged to leave so soon.

Indeed at the time Crick asked if he was “Mr Watkinson from the Conservative party” the staffer replied that he did not know what the journalist was talking about, no doubt indicative of a sudden bout of amnesia.

For his part Corbyn said the man was welcome to stay, and aides of the likely Labour leader said that Watkinson had been the first person to show at the event.

Future infiltrators of Corbyn rallies may wish to swap Watkinson’s copy of the Daily Mail for the Morning Star if they do not want to attract similar attention.

But Jazza and Jimmy are joined by the wonderful Lewis Parker, YouTuber and Head of PR for the #FreedomToDonate campaign which seeks to lift the ban on blood donations from sexually active gay men.

We also talked with Lewis about the Labour party, as he is a member, and why he voted for Liz Kendall and what he thinks about being in a party that will be lead by Jeremy Corbyn next week.

‘No silencing’ Katie Hopkins despite 57,000 signatures to swap her for refugees

Cockroaches, February 2014 by USGS Bee Inventory and Monitoring Lab

Rent-a-gob Katie Hopkins said there would be “no silencing” her in the wake of a petition to swap her for some of the 50,000 refugees she sweepingly termed “cockroaches” in a column for the Sun earlier in April.

The “television personality” took to Twitter to criticise the response to the images of dead Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi last week, arguing that Britain was not thinking with its head over pressure to take in more migrants from the strife-ridden regions of North Africa and the Middle East.

Some 57,000 have signed the Change.org petition to swap Hopkins for the migrants only five days after it was created by the freelance journalist Ben Fletcher.

Writing in an update on Monday, he said:

“Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I am sure that we can all agree that Hopkins should probably see someone about hers – perhaps a doctor. [We have] 56,000 [signatures] and counting. It is going well, but 44,000 are still required for the most amusing news headline of the year to take place: PARLIAMENT CONSIDER DEBATING SWAPPING KATIE HOPKINS FOR 50,000 REFUGEES.”

If a petition on the Parliament.UK website reaches 100,000 signatures the House of Commons is obliged to consider it for debate in Parliament. However this obligation seemingly does not apply to petitions on other websites.

After Hopkins published the piece she was questioned by police over incitement of racial hatred allegations, though no charges appear to have been brought since.

Even the United Nations heaped criticism on the media slut in the wake of the piece, with the human rights chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein comparing the language she used to that used by the Nazis, thus violating Godwin’s Law and instantly losing the argument.

Though Hopkins rowed back somewhat on her comments, she stood by the essence of the message, which according to her “isn’t about the idea that we want to see migrants and people suffering, it’s an idea that we need to find solutions to problems.”

Right.
